The following photographs were all taken by Martin Long on a recent visit to Hanging Flat Mine nr. Stoney Middleton. Hanging Flat's "claim to fame" is that is was once used by the BBC when filming an episode of "Peak Practice", and some of the stage props are still in situ.

I've also heard that the site was used for filming an early episode of Dr. Who. Can anyone confirm this or otherwise?
