Mine and Mining Photographs

Listed below are links to a series of small photo galleries, ordered alphabetically by mine name and (where appropriate) by region and/or date and/or photographer. (The number in brackets after each link indicates the number of images in that particular gallery.)

The majority of the mine images currently available are from a few contemporary photographers. It is hoped to expand the galleries to include materials from more photographers, and also some historical images - so if you have material related to Peak District mines or mining worth sharing with others, please get in touch!

Please Note that the appearance of photographs of any given site does not imply that there is currently access to that site. Access agreements and the condition of mines can, and do change - so before you visit a mine, please make sure you're OK to do so!
